Putney Way upgrade

Putney Way has become more walkable, with new art, lights and trees leading the way, after landscaping improvements completed in September 2018.

The new street design also encourages people to use the bus station, and will help to ensure that Putney Way can be a better mainstreet for Manukau city centre.

10 mahi toi (works of art) designed by local students, with support from the Roots Collective, have been installed on lampposts to reflect Manukau’s melting pot of cultures.
