Takapuna will soon have a new town square: Waiwharariki Anzac.
Located in Takapuna Central on part of the Anzac Street car park, next to Potters Park and Lake Road, this new public space will provide a welcoming place for the community to relax and spend time in, with space for a market and events. But what is the meaning behind ‘Waiwharariki’?
